Prof. Vjera Katalinić, Ph.D. was appointed director of the Institute for the History of Croatian Literature, Theatre and Music for a term of four years starting on March 10, 2020.

Institutions in the composition of:

  • Division for the History of Croatian Literature
  • Division for the History of Croatian Theatre
  • Division for the History of Croatian Music

The Institute was established on March 1st, 1948 as the Institute for Language and Literature at the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts. Later on, in 1952, a separate Institute for Literature was founded. The Institute for Literature and Theater Studies was established in 1966, and the Institute for the History of Croatian Literature, Theater and Music in 1993.
