Boris Senker, a Croatian theatrologist, theater critic, lexicographer, writer and translator, was born in Zagreb on November 5, 1947. He finished high school in Pula. He completed his studies of comparative literature and English at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb (1971), where he received his doctorate with a dissertation on theatrical work by M. Begović (1982) and lectures at the Department of Theatrology and Filmology at the Department of Comparative Literature; since 2018. professor emeritus. He has been a fellow of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 2012.
His work covers three main areas; history and theory of theater, theater criticism and original, ie own dramatic creation.
