Curiculum Vitae

Prof. emer. Miroslav Sedlaček was born on May 31, 1925 in Karlovac and died on January 13, 2017 in Zagreb. He was a scientist and expert in the field of electron accelerator and electronic physics technique, he was elected corresponding member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts on 28 May 1998 as professor emeritus of the Royal Technical College in Stockholm (KTH).

Until leaving for Sweden in 1967, he worked scientifically at the Ruđer Bošković Institute and held physics classes at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodetics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Zagreb. At the Institute, he led a group for the development of nuclear magnetic resonance and high resolution spectrometers and collaborated in the development of nuclear instrumentation. In Stockholm, together with Academician Hrvoje Babić, he worked on research and development of microwave accelerators.
