Curriculum Vitae

Ivan Damjanov, a Croatian physician, was born on March 31, 1941, in Subotica. Having completed his medical studies in Zagreb in 1964 and postgraduate studies in experimental biology, he worked from 1966 to 1974 as an assistant and assistant professor of the Department of General Pathology and Pathological Anatomy of the Zagreb School of Medicine. In 1974, he went to the United States, where until 1977 he was a university professor in Farmington ( Connecticut), and then in Philadelphia and Kansas City. He was also a visiting professor at the universities of Zagreb and Split.

He is engaged in developmental biology by studying the differentiation and growth of embryonic and malignant cells and researching teratogenesis as well as ultrastructure and immunohistochemistry of teratomas and teratocarcinoma.

He is the author of more than 300 papers in the world’s leading journals.

He was elected as a correspondent member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in 1992.
