Viličić Melita, croatian architect, ( Brod n/S, March 8, 1913. – Zagreb, March, 12 2005.) full professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb, teaching courses in the history of architecture. After having graduated from the Department of Architecture of the Technical Faculty in Zagreb in 1941, she received her doctoral degree in 1976. She spent her career at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb, advancing from assistant professor (1967) to full professor (1976). Scientific and professional interest: non-European cultures and Croatian building heritage. She published the book Umjetnost predkonkvistadorske Amerike (1957). She shaped the scientific method of presenting the urban structure of a historical town on the example of the town of Senj. The historical architecture of Senj was the topic she tackled in her papers and professional projects.
