Curriculum Vitae

Gordana Bakić was born on March 28, 1972, in Zagreb. She enrolled in the School of Applied Arts and Design in 1986, where she graduated in graphic design in 1990. The same year, she started studying Art Education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and graduated under Professor Zlatko Keser in 2001. She worked on set design as a theatre painter at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb from 2002 to 2012. In 2006, she enrolled in graduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, orientation Painting (mentor prof Bojan Gorenec) and Video (mentor prof Srečo Dragan), where she obtained her master’s degree in 2011 with the thesis “Structuring the Unit through Self-Recycling”. She has been employed at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb since 2012, and is currently an associate professor, discipline: art, field: visual arts, branch: painting.

She has been a member of the Croatian Association of Artists since 1996.
