Curriculum Vitae
Ozana Nadoveza is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, where she has been employed since 2011 and where she obtained her PhD in 2017. Since 2026, she has been an associate member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Department of Social Sciences. During her academic career, she was a visiting researcher at the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim and spent a semester at the University of Salerno, Department of Economics and Statistics. She has also pursued further academic and professional training through domestic and international summer schools, EcoMod Network programmes, and central banking seminars organised by the Bank of England and the Joint Vienna Institute.
Her research interests and scientific contribution can be organised around three interrelated areas. The first is macroeconomic modelling and macroeconomic policy, with an emphasis on the analysis of inflation, business cycles, and the effects of macroeconomic shocks. The second concerns the application of macroeconomic modelling to the analysis of sectoral policies, particularly in linking aggregate developments with the sectoral characteristics of the economy. The third area covers fiscal policy, the labour market, and structural analysis, with particular emphasis on empirically grounded research relevant to economic policy and the Croatian economy.
She regularly publishes academic and professional papers in economics, participates in domestic and international scientific conferences and workshops, and is the recipient of the 2024 annual Marijan Hanžeković Award for the best scientific paper. She has collaborated on several research projects, including projects funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, the European Social Fund, and the University Development Fund. She has also participated in commercial projects, most notably a Twinning project carried out during her work at the Croatian National Bank, where she worked from 2018 to 2025, first as an Adviser in the Modelling Department and later as a Senior Adviser in the Economic Analysis Department.
She teaches undergraduate courses in Macroeconomics, the Croatian Economy, Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and Economic Modelling, a course she developed in 2023.
