European Academies Sciences Advisory Council – EASAC<\/a><\/h3>

EASAC – the European Academies’ Science Advisory Council – is formed by the national science academies of the EU Member States to enable them to collaborate with each other in providing independent science advice to\u00a0European policy-makers. It thus provides a means for the collective voice of European science to be heard. EASAC was founded in 2001 at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.<\/p>

Euro-Mediterranean Academic Network – EMAN<\/a><\/h3>

EMAN, an autonomous network including the academies of science of the Mediterranean countries, is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote the growth and coordination of a\u00a0Mediterranean science area. The general objective of the EMAN is to act as an independent Euro-Mediterranean forum to encourage the academies of this area to cooperate and discuss the scientific aspects of problems of common\u00a0concern, to prepare joint statements on major issues relevant to the development of the Mediterranean Region, and to provide mutual support to member academies.<\/p>

ALL European Academies (ALLEA)<\/a><\/h3>

ALLEA, the federation of All European Academies, was founded in 1994 and currently brings together 59 Academies in more than 40 countries from the Council of Europe region. Member Academies operate as learned societies, think tanks and research performing organisations. They are self- governing communities of leaders of scholarly enquiry across all fields of the natural sciences, the social sciences and the humanities. ALLEA therefore provides access to an unparalleled human resource of intellectual excellence, experience and expertise.

InterAcademy Panel (IAP)<\/a><\/h3>

IAP and its member academies believe that science, scientific knowledge and scientific progress are an essential part of human culture and are vital to advance human welfare and well being. They also believe that the scientific\u00a0method has much to offer in the pursuit of just and fair societies. These beliefs are the foundation of IAP and all it does. IAP is therefore committed to making the voice of science heard on issues of crucial\u00a0importance to the future of\u00a0humankind.<\/p>

InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP)<\/a><\/h3>

IAMP, a network of the world’s medical academies and medical sections of academies of science and engineering,\u00a0is committed to improving health world-wide. The goals of the IAMP are to: strengthen the capacity of academies to provide evidence based advice to governments on health and science policy; to support the creation of new academies; to support the creation of projects by member academies to strengthen research and higher education in their countries; and to issue consensus statements on matters of importance to global health.<\/p>

Union Acad\u00e9mique Internationale – UAI<\/a><\/h3>

The UAI is the global organization of national academies in the fields of the humanities and social sciences. Its aims are to initiate, recognize, foster and fund basic long-term international research projects. Created in 1919 in Paris with a general secretariat established in Brussels, the UAI comprises at the moment more than a hundred academies from 63 countries from all continents.<\/p>

European Science Foundation – ESF<\/a><\/h3>

The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts was a member of the European Science Foundation from 1st January 2003 till 31st December 2015. The European Science Foundation was an independent non-governmental European scientific organization with 80 organizations from 30 countries. In 2016 the ESF has changed its primary activity and moved from funding organisation towards service-based organisation and in that capacity will continue to contribute to the European Research Area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
