Hrvoje Petri\u0107<\/strong> was born in Koprivnica in 1972, where he completed primary and secondary education. Graduated in geography and history from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He received his master’s and doctorate in history from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, where he has been employed since 2001 and elected in titles from junior assistant to full-time university professor. He trained in Austria, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, Israel, and the USA.<\/p>\n He is the head of the Department of History of Central and Southeastern Europe at the Department of History of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, head of the faculty’s Center for Comparative Historical and Intercultural Studies, is the deputy head of the graduate module of the early New Age, is the head of the integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of history and geography.<\/p>\n He is the editor of the scientific journals Podravina and Ekonomska i ekohistorija, a member of the editorial board of scientific journals Radovi Zavoda za hrvatsku povijest, Kronika (Ljubljana) and Istra\u017eivanja (Novi Sad) and editorial boards of several other Croatian scientific journals.<\/p>\n He is also a member of the editorial board of the electronic scientific journal Arcadia: Online Explorations in Environmental History published by the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t Munich and the European Society for Environmental History.<\/p>\n He is a member of the scientific council of the Institute for Scientific Research and Artistic Work of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Koprivnica-Kri\u017eevci County in Kri\u017eevci. He has received several public awards.<\/p>\n
