Dubravka Matkovi\u0107-\u010calogovi\u0107<\/strong> was born on November 19, 1957, in Zagreb. She graduated in 1980 from the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. In the same year, she enrolled in postgraduate studies in Inorganic and Structural Chemistry and obtained the academic degrees of Master of Science in 1985 and Doctor of Natural Sciences in the field of chemistry in 1994.<\/p>\n Since 1980 she has been employed in the Division of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, where she has been working continuously to this day.<\/p>\n She trained abroad at the University of Kansas from 2007 to 2008 (University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS, USA; \u00a0Fulbright Scholarship; Cloning, Purification and Crystallization of Membrane Proteins); at the University of York from 2001 to 2002. (University of York, York, UK; protein purification and crystallisation, protein protein \u00a0crystallography); at the University of Padua from 1997 to 1998 (Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Padova, Padua, Italy; protein crystallography).<\/p>\n The main areas of scientific interest are crystallography of small molecules and proteins (insulin, proteins from H. \u00a0Pylori and PKD1 and PKD2), bioanorganic and solid state chemistry.<\/p>\n
