After completing his secondary education from the School of Applied Arts in Split (1972), he enrolled in the Academy of Fine Art, University of Zagreb, where he studied Sculpture under the guidance of Professor Valerije Michieli. He graduated in 1979, and in 1982 embarked on a two-year specialist course in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Art in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 1989 he spent six months in Rome, on a scholarship which he received from the Italian Government for the purposes of professional development. His works have been featured in many group exhibitions and about forty solo exhibitions, which has won him prestigious national prizes and awards. He is the author of several public sculptures and his works have been acquired by private and public collections. He parallelly built an academic career, serving as the founding dean the Arts Academy, Split, where he still teaches as a tenure full professor. While teaching there Sculpture courses, he also taught Drawing and Modelling at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, Univesity of Split (2003 \u2013 2015). His artistic output is the subject of two documentaries produced by the Croatian Radio-Television (HRT), and has caught attention of eminent Croatian art critics. In 2012 he received a monograph by Josip Belamari\u0107 and Ive \u0160imat Banov. He is the recipient of the Orders of Danica hrvatska for culture, welfare and promotion of social values.
