Branko He\u0107imovi\u0107<\/strong>, a Croatian\u00a0theatrologist, <\/span>was born in Zagreb, on March 9, 1934. He graduated in Yugoslav studies from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 1958 and received his Doctorate in 1965 with the thesis Croatian Dramatic Literature between the two wars<\/em>. \u00a0He was a director of drama shows at Radio Zagreb in 1956\u20131972, editor at \u0160kolska knjiga<\/em> 1972\u20131977, and from 1977 until his retirement in 2001 he worked at the Institute for the History of Croatian Literature, Theatre and Music of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and was the head of Division for the History of Croatian Theatre.<\/p>\n B. He\u0107imovi\u0107 is also an initiator and editor-in-chief of the edition Repertoar hrvatskih kazali\u0161ta 1840\u20131860\u20131980<\/em> (I\u2013II, 1990; III, 2002). He taught at the Zagreb Slavic School, led the Theatrical Practice for students of the Academy of Dramatic Art. He is the initiator of the international theatrical conference Krle\u017eini dani u Osijeku<\/em> (since 1990), editor and associate of the proceedings of the same name. Put on several proceedings and exhibitions. In the center of his interests are modern writers and Miroslav Krle\u017ea, as well as Ranko Marinkovi\u0107, Mirko Bo\u017ei\u0107, Ivan Ku\u0161an and Antun \u0160oljan, and is also author of several anthologies. He organized, accompanied with notes and comments works of Miroslav Begovi\u0107, Titu\u0161 Brezova\u010dki, Pero Budak, Mirko Fotez, Fadil Had\u017ei\u0107, Milan Ogrizovi\u0107, Sr\u0111an Tuci\u0107, Marijan Matkovi\u0107, Zvonimir Bajsi\u0107, Antun \u0160oljan and others. He publishes theatrical reviews, discussions and essays on Croatian dramatic literature and theatrical issues in periodicals and proceedings. He is the author of studies 13 hrvatskih dramati\u010dara<\/em> (1976), Dramatur\u0161ki triptihon<\/em> (1979), Mo\u017ee li se Lauri vjerovati?<\/em> (1982), Pod Krle\u017einim ki\u0161obranom<\/em> (1997), U zagrljaju kazali\u0161ta<\/em> (2004), Izdaja forme<\/em> (2010)\u00a0and author of several other anthologies.<\/p>\n
