Kre\u0161imir Bagi\u0107<\/strong> a poet, specialist in stylistics and literary critic, was born on January 22, 1962, in Gradi\u0161te. He attended elementary school in Gradi\u0161te and high school in \u017dupanja. In 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb with a degree in Croatian or Serbian language and Yugoslav literatures, and there in 1991 he defended his master\u2019s degree thesis \u2013 Linguistics and poetic text<\/em> and in 1995 his doctorate\u2019s thesis \u2013 Stylistic and genealogical aspects of polemical text<\/em>. Since 1989, he has been working at the Chair of stylistics of the Department of Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, where, in 2009, he became a tenured professor.<\/p>\n He was member of editorial boards of the Studentski list<\/em> (The student paper) and of the magazines Quorum, Zrcalo, Croatica<\/em> Nova<\/em> and Hrvatski<\/em>, he was editing radio shows Bibliovizor <\/em>and Rje\u010dnik Tre\u0107eg programa<\/em> (Dictionary of the Channel 3) on Channel 3 of the Croatian radio. In the framework of Croatian philological society, he was heading the Theory of Literature section (1991-92). He worked as a Croatian language and literature lector at Sorbonne University (1996-1999). He was Head of the Zagreba\u010dka slavisti\u010dka \u0161kola (Zagreb School of Slavic Studies) (2005-2009). He was editing the Palimpset <\/em>library within the publishing house Disput (2005-2011). He is the initiator and editor of the portal stilistika.org<\/em>. Since 2021, he is a member of the Slavic Literary and Art Academies.<\/p>\n He has published poetry since the late 1970s. He published the following collections of poems: Svako je slovo kurva<\/em> (with B. Gregori\u0107, 1988), Izme\u0111u dva sna\u017ena dima<\/em> (1989), Kro\u0161nja<\/em> (1994), Br\u0161ljan<\/em> (1996), Jezik za svaku udaljenost<\/em> (2001), Le palmier se balance <\/em>(Pariz, 2003), U polutami predgra\u0111a<\/em> (2006), Trebalo bi sru\u0161iti zidove<\/em> (2011), Pla\u0161i li te moja boja<\/em> (2013), Tko baca mrvice kruha dok hoda \u0161umom \/ Qui s\u00e8me des miettes de pain en traversant les bois<\/em> (Rennes 2016) and Ponornice<\/em> (2021). He appeared in poetry events in Croatia and abroad, among others Goranovo prolje\u0107e (Goran\u2019s Spring), Stru\u0161ke ve\u010deri poezije (Struga Poetry Evenings), Sarajevski dani poezije (Sarajevo Poetry Days), March\u00e9 de la po\u00e9sie in Paris, Voix de la M\u00e9diterann\u00e9e in Lod\u00e8ve etc. His poems are included in numerous anthologies, selections and panoramas of modern Croatian poetry and are translated into several languages.<\/p>\n As specialist in stylistics, critic, and literary scientist, he is the author and editor of about thirty books, panoramas, anthologies, and manuals. Among others, he prepared digital editions of stylistic foundations of Ivan Filipovi\u0107, Janko Tomi\u0107 and Petar Guberina and representative selections from poetry of Josip Sever, Stjepan Gulin and Zvonko Makovi\u0107. He presented in dozens of scientific symposiums and conferences, and he published numerous literary discussions and literary papers. Several times he critically followed events on the Croatian poetry scene by publishing about four hundred critics, reviews, and essays. The most important of Bagi\u0107’s stylistic, interpretative, and literary-critical books are: \u010cetiri dimenzije sumnje<\/em> (coauthor, 1988), \u017divi jezici<\/em> (1994), Umije\u0107e osporavanja<\/em> (1999), Brisani prostor<\/em> (2002), Treba li pisati kako dobri pisci pi\u0161u<\/em> (2004), Rje\u010dnik stilskih figura<\/em> (2012), Uvod u suvremenu hrvatsku knji\u017eevnost<\/em> (2016) and Pogled iz Dubrave<\/em> (2017).<\/p>\n He received poetry rewards \u2013 \u201eGoran\u201c (for young poets, 1989), \u201eDobri\u0161a Cesari\u0107\u201c (2011), \u201eDuhovno hra\u0161\u0107e\u201c (2011) \u201ePlaketa sv. Kvirina\u201c (2013) and \u201eZvonko Milkovi\u0107\u201c (2021). For scientific work he received the National Science Award (2013), the award \u201eKiklop\u201c (2013), the award of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (2013) and the award \u201eJosip i Ivan Kozarac\u201c (2016), while for his literary-critical activity he received the award \u201eJulije Bene\u0161i\u0107\u201c (2003).<\/p>\n
