From 1989 to 2014 he taught philosophy and the history of ideas at the Polytechnic School (\u00c9cole polytechnique) in Paris. Member of the French Academy since 2014. He edited (1990\u201396) the magazine <em>Le Messager europ\u00e9en<\/em> , after which he hosted the radio contact show <em>R\u00e9pliques<\/em> in which he debates with intellectuals and authors of recent books on social and political issues.<\/p>\n<p>In his work, he relies in part on the philosophy of E.
